Wendy VillaWendy Villa – Creative Director/Editorial Artist

Wendy has been in the hair industry for over six years. When she was a teenager she knew hair would eventually become her career. She remembers cutting her friends hair in the bathroom with kitchen scissors. When asked what her favorite part of her job was, she replied: her relationships. Being able to have clients come in after a stressful week and leave feeling relaxed and beautiful is the most rewarding part of her job. Wendy has taken many educational classes to further her career and has earned a Goldwell Master Colorist certification. She has also attended the Vidal Sassoon Hair Cutting Academy as well as The Ouidad Academy and has become a certified Ouidad stylist.

Wendy’s advice to clients: Your hair should be a representation of you! It should complement your face shape, bone structure, and lifestyle. Hair should be able to bring out your best assets and features while downplaying your least favorite ones.

Hope CapobiancoHope Capobianco – Editorial Artist

Hope has been in the hair industry for nineteen years. She comes from a long line of hairdressers and at a young age loved going to visit her cousins at their hair salon and watch them style their client’s hair. She would then go home and try to replicate the styles she saw on her friends. Hope’s favorite part of her job is being with her clients. She loves the fact that she can always be creative with her client’s hair color; whether it be a subtle change for the season or a dramatic change for the fun of it. One of Hope’s strengths is her eye for color. She can look at a client aside from the color they are wearing and be able to pick out flattering tones that complement their complexion. Hope has taken many classes to perfect her craft. Some of the classes she has taken are Bumble and Bumble University Color 1 and Color 2 as well as Goldwell color academy classes.

Hope’s advice to clients: Fashion is forever changing. I suggest being open-minded to change. Small changes can be a good thing and tweaking your hair color slightly can keep your look modern and fresh.

Liz SchmidtLiz Schmidt – Master Artist

Liz began her career eight years ago as a Hair Stylist. Even as young girl she started by playing with all of her friend’s hair, or anyone that would let her. Doing hair was something she thoroughly enjoyed, so it made sense that this would be the career she pursued. Liz’s favorite part about being a stylist is helping people feel good about themselves. When my clients leave the salon beaming, it is the best feeling she says. She also love texture! Liz admits creating texture is where I thrive the most and it shows in my haircuts. My clients receive haircuts that not only look stunning when they leave but they grow out nicely as well. In the fall of 2014 she decided to add more skills to her repertoire by attending one of the top Barbering schools in Europe. Liz has also taken several color classes and cutting classes throughout her career.

Liz’s advice to clients: Keep up with your haircuts and use the appropriate professional products at home. You cannot maintain your beautiful hairdo if you’re not taking care of your hair! When you leave the salon, take home the appropriate products and tools so you can replicate how I made your hair look.
